Hi all

I was validating my first piece of XHTML code using the w2c validator
earlier today and got the following confusing output from the validator :-

Result:

Failed validation, 0 error

File:

nl20.htm

Encoding:

iso-8859-1

Doctype:

-//w3c//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN

Unknown Parse Mode!

The MIME Media Type (text/html) for this document is used to serve both SGML

the DOCTYPE Declaration in your document. Parsing will continue in SGML
mode.

This page is not Valid -//w3c//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN!

Below are the results of attempting to parse this document with an SGML
parser.

"

With no error messages.

Have I found a bug?
