The beta validator

I have been using this for a few pages, and have just come across
something it missed.

Whilst testing a page for xhtml 1 strict compliance I noticd it didn't
pick up some unescaped &'s whereas the 'public' validator picked them
up.

They appeared within a <pre> tag.
