Images on validation results page (MSIE 5.0)

The images fail to load on the validation results page. Right-clicking on
the placeholder suggests that the file extension is missing - ie copying the
image address, pasting it into the address bar, and adding '.gif' retrieves
the image. Adding '.png' retrieves the image via Quick Time Player.

Problem occurs running Win98 se with MSIE 5.0., but not with Opera 5.
Probably an MSIE glitch?
