I find XSD 1.1 as having similar complexity to XSD 1.0. XSD 1.1 just
adds some features to 1.0 which makes task of existing XSD 1.0 users
easier.

For e.g., assertions, CTA, relaxation of UPA constraints are some of
the enhancements I like in XSD 1.1.
