Hello,
Per my action item from the 18 Nov face-to-face meeting,
here are a few comments on "Guidelines for the Use of
XML within IETF Protocols" [1]. I have not read [1],
but I read the previous draft and the comments still hold
in 07.

====
1) There is no mention of design of accessible XML
applications (though section 5 discusses I18N issues).
W3C's "XML Accessibility Guidelines (XAG)" [2] is still in
its infancy, but we should either (1) request that the authors
of the Internet-Draft refer to it, or the TAG should refer to it
above and beyond the Internet-Draft.

2) 4.9 Namespaces. I suggest that we request that, once we have
resolved namespaceDocument-8 [3], the authors include
text about what a namespace document should look like.

3) 4.11 Binary Data and Text wtih Control Characters
"XML does not allow 'control' characters....They may not be
specified even using character entity references."
Minor editorial: Change "may not" to "cannot be".
