W3C TAG Election Results Announcement Planned for 11 December 2001

Hello,

The first W3C Technical Architecture Group (TAG) election
closed on 28 November 2001. W3C plans to announce the final
results on Tuesday 11 December 2001.

All terms will begin on 11 December 2001. Per the TAG charter [1],
to stagger participation, some participants on the initial TAG will
serve two-year terms, others one-year terms. As described in section
1.6.1 of the Process Document [2], we will use the process described
in RFC 2777 [3] to choose who will serve short terms. One-year terms
will end 10 December 2002. Two-year terms will end 10 December 2003.

We have already publicly announced the process for determining who
is assigned one-year and who is assigned two-year terms [4]. This
information will be included in the public announcement.
