you are right, indeed pretty fine - 
I simply did not see it ;o)
Only the motion/animation is not really 'paced' in
most cases, but this is another problem just
related to the meaning of 'paced', not to the
testsuite.
And it seems to be different again in the CR for
SVG tiny 1.2, indicating that there is a problem
with the meaning of 'paced' for transformations
in general.

Then it is just a minor problem, that the
translation-subtest will be valid for many
different implementations of a distance, it
is not a critical test, but not wrong. We do
not learn much about the viewer, if the test
is ok, but this was not promised anyway ;o)
