It is unacceptable for the SVG Working Group to introduce new names in
namespaces owned by the WebAPI Working Group, now that the DOM Level 3
Events specification is no longer a deliverable of the SVG WG. The new
draft however does exactly that. I further disagree that it is a sound
approach for the SVG Working Group to include features in SVG Tiny 1.2
that are redundant with features in DOM Level 3 Events, which SVG Tiny
1.2 normatively depends on. I am again amazed how the SVG Working Group
got the impression "The comment resulted in some discussion, but no
change seemed to be asked for". Your point about UIEvent.detail makes
no sense whatsoever.
