It does fall in the vicinity.  The degree to which it falls close
depends on several implementation choices, but it's close, and it
converges to a "true" pt in the limit of infinite resolution.

Anyway, this discussion has been had *multiple* times.  There is
nothing new to say; you're kvetching into the wind here.  I'm dropping
out.
