Do you mean just changing it in the wording of the spec, or also  
changing the actual rel attribute value to be rel="alternative  
stylesheet"? If it's only the former, it may cause more confusion than  
anything else, calling it "alternative style sheet" but then having  
rel="alternate stylesheet" in markup.
