But the part I replied to started with "on a related topic" and then 
talked about "line break in CSS" and pointed to an example using \A in 
generated content.

It could not have been talking about long lines of text and claiming 
that Opera is the only browser that handles them, since IE/Windows will 
happily line-break on all sorts of characters (hyphens, slashes, etc).
