IE/win 5.5+ supports it. Gecko's support is somewhat varied - I believe it was
enabled in NS6, but disabled for Mozilla 1.0 due to being extremely buggy. It is
still available as display:-moz-inline-block, however.

There's a bug on it at <http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9458>.
