As far as SMIL processor behavior, as defined by the spec, is
concerned, <ref>, <image>, <video>, <audio>, <text>, <animation> and
<textstream> are the same: essentially, they are all <ref>.  The
difference in the names is meaningful only to the author.  The media
type is actually specified for the processor by the "type" attribute.
