This meeting is likely to be of interest, esp. wrt. IMS metadata 
mappings... the sig group meetings are also really good places to find out 
what is going on [in educational and related metadata] more generally too.

I plan to attend.

respository special interest group.

+Update on specification and standards development, including:
  - IEEE LOM, IMS Metadata,
  - IMS Vocabulary Definition Exchange (VDEX),
  - IMS Resources List Interoperability (RLI).

+Update on UK LOM Core, LTSN/RDN resource type vocabulary.

+Report from SIG meeting on identifiers for Learning Objects.

+Quality assurance for digital learning object repositories: how should
metadata be created? (A preview of Sarah Currier and Jane Barton's paper to
be presented at the ALT-C conference).

+Project Reports / Show and Tell / Open Floor: if you are involved in a
project which is implementing one of the standards of interest to the SIG
and would like to present it to the meeting, if you have a position paper
you would like to present or if you have a problem you would like feedback
on, please contact the SIG Coordinator (Phil Barker, philb@icbl.hw.ac.uk)
to arrange a time slot.

The meeting is free to staff in UK Further and Higher Education, but places
are limited. To register, email the SIG Coordinator (Phil Barker,
philb@icbl.hw.ac.uk) with your details. It's useful if you include some
indication of your background and the reason for your interest in the
meeting.
