Just commenting here - the RFC2445 UID has more than "just" the RFC-822
address. The intent is for (my understanding of it anyway) for
VEVENTs/VTODOs, etc. to have unique IDs within one particular calendar
store, which is identified by id@domain.. In so much as RFC2445s UID is
unique, and because you will often have need for RDFCalendar <--> iCalendar
interoperation, I'd strongly suggest using that ID.
