RDF IG, Following a successful RDF interest group calendar/geographical information meeting using IRC, there will be a meeting on geo information this Wednesday 16th April at 1500 UTC: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?day=16&month=4&year=2003&hour=14&min=0&sec=0&p1=0 More about IRC: http://esw.w3.org/topic/InternetRelayChat The meeting will be on irc.freenode.net channel #rdfig for about one hour. Everyone interested in the topic is welcome to participate. The purpose of this meeting is to explore various possible RDF vocabularies for describing geographical information, such as latitude and longitude, addresses, points and areas and paths between them, using specific examples and usecases such as describing the location of a restaurant, or descibing a journey. http://esw.w3.org/topic/GeoInfo and nearby is being used for notes on these topics. Some notes about the previous calendar joint meeting are here, including some action items which may be part of the agenda: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-rdf-calendar/2003Apr/0010.html The agenda is in draft form here on the ESW wiki - http://esw.w3.org/topic/GeoInfo please feel free to add suggestions. Previous meetings about RDF calendar and RDF query testcases have proved a fruitful way of collaborating on fairly well-defined topics. Mapping and location-based RDF apps seem to be an increasingly popular work area. If you have done work on this topic, do let the rest of the community know, by emailing www-rdf-interest@w3.org, and by linking it from the Wiki page above. cheers, Dan Brickley (RDF Interest Group chair) Libby Miller (RDF calendar taskforce leader)
