I am aware that the Free Software Foundation (FSF) is
not happy with  Section 3 of the W3C's proposed patent
policy. As far as I can see the concerns of the FSF
are identical with those of the general public in this

useful. It is well known that the Internet is widely
based on non-commercial research and development. This
is why it is open and useful.
