Opposition To Rand

Sirs,

As a CTO of a company that develops and sells commercial software, I am
vehemently opposed to the RAND proposal. The concept of proprietary
technology as a standard is beyond belief. If this moves forward the
W3C will do great harm to itself and the internet - W3C will loose
the respect and support of software developers world wide. RAND is
a bad idea whose time should never come!!!!
