W3C is a pawn in an IT Cartel

Hello.

If W3C implements RAND or anything like it, it will
become a pawn in an IT cartel.

W3C will become irrelevant because other standards
cartels will be pushing for their equivalent standards
to be adopted.

This will result in the IT industry degenerating into
the primoridal proprietary slime that existed a few
short years ago.

How did W3C degenerate into such pathetic decrepitude
so rapidly?

Please do not implement any form of fee-based
standards.
