Hi, I am the CEO of a company working on free software and promoting conformance with W3C internet standards. For the moment. I wrote you to say that I consider your RAND patenting system to be incredibly absurd. Remember the GIF®(TM) Damocles-style effect ? Do you want to reproduce it for every "standard" you create ? Do you want to produce more exclusion than ever with such a policy ? WWW was created to unite people, not to break them between those who can afford to pay the patents and thoses who cannot. If you want to produce standards that noone will use, go ahead in that direction. What a shame.
