The W3C should be promoting *open* standards, not helping the bottom lines of companies that are big enough already. Where would the Web be today if HTML and the HTTP protocol could only be used by developers who paid their 'reasonable' license fee ($5,000?) for the standard? -- Walt Leipold leipold@acm.org
