Re: W3C Patent Policy: Bad for the W3C, bad for business, bad for users

I couldn't agree more with Alan's remarks!

It's a real pity to see how the W3C has evolved in
the last few years. This patent policy is absolutely
counterproductive for the future of the World Wide Web
and especially for the development of open source
software.
I can only hope that the W3C will not be so
short-sighted to let this happen ... or we might
need a new organisation to carry on with the
original goal of the W3C.
