RAND Patents in Standards? NO!

I am in complete agreement with Alan Cox.

"No" to RAND standards.  "No" to standards you have to pay to use.
Please do not make W3C irrelevant, do not make it the de-facto organ
of a collusion to destroy open source software, academics, and the
small businesses that bring vitality to the web.
