Patents are a threat to the software industry,
and will be a threat to the internet.

Please do not allow non-royalty-free standards, that would kill
interoperability and freedom of the internet as we know it.

That would allow single powerful entities to gain a de-facto
control over the internet and kill off any kind of competition,
freedom, development and sane growth of a really important mean
of comunication of all the mankind.

Allowing non-royalty-free patented standards,
is like allowing taxes on speach in the digital world.

So, please change your mind and do not allow that.

Simo Sorce.
