RAND licensing policy

To Whom it may concern,

I am shocked and appalled by the W3C plans to support patented technologies as
web standards. The history of the Internet, the Web and that which came before
their rise to household-name status should tell you everything you need to
know: that proprietary standards cannot achieve the global acceptance possible
with open, unencumbered standards.

Please don't do this.
