My disquiet at RAND licenses

I was highly disquieted when I read of the W3C's Patent Policy 
Framework and what it could mean for the web.  However, just 
about everything that I wished to say has already been said more 
eloquently other responses on this mailing list and elsewhere, 
particularly Richard Stallman's response here and the Web 
Standards Project response at 
http://www.webstandards.org/opinion.html
