I disagree completely with the new Patent Policy as drafted at http://www.w3.org/TR/2001/WD-patent-policy-20010816/. The W3C seems to have disregarded the innovations of the independent content developer as well as small businesses, many of which have driven innovation on the Web further than Bill Gates or Playboy.com would like to admit. It is our sincerest request that the W3C Patent Policy program be abandoned, never to return again.
