I vote for free standards

I hope standards will remain free, otherwise I believe we will face 
technical stagnation.

WWW has been one of the few arenas in the modern world which has remained
somewhat outside the otherwise dominant culture of intellectual ownership.
And we all see the resulting growth and richness. Linux is another example
of the same approach.

I hope the collaborative impulse will remain in control over the competitive
forces, in the future of W3C.
