royalties for web standards? no !

hello,

i'm writing to voice my concern about the possibility of
charging licensing fees for, and royalties on, technologies
included in web standards.

if a license scheme is implemented, i urge you to consider
the use of royalty-free licensing rather than what is termed
"reasonable and non-discriminatory" (RAND) licensing.

keep the web open !
