I have 3 comments: =============== In the declaration of your founding principles you state: "Universal Access: To make the Web accessible to all by promoting technologies that take into account the vast differences in culture, education, ability, material resources, and physical limitations of users on all continents" Use of patented technology in any part of the WEB would dis-infranchise a large part of the world (ie. that part which does not feel they must buy special software to access what has become a universal resource for the betterment of mankind. If your group cannot figure out a way to provide a web transport service without using patented technology - then the service should not be supported. -- Bill Gallagher - TorontoReceived on Thursday, 4 October 2001 21:45:49 GMT
