Patents go against everything the web stands for.  Tim created the web to
circumvent all the problems and incompatibilities that patents create.  If you
destroy that, then you will thwart the growth of the web, thus hurting not only
the people but also the big businesses that are most definitely behind this. 
Everyone wins with open standards.  Nobody wins with patents.

Learn this now. Please.
