Hi, Since HPAS has been mentioned several times on this list, and has been used to test out SMIL presentations, I guess it's a good idea to make it available to a larger audience. Note that HPAS is pretty limited (mostly due to problems with Netscape), so don't take this as an indication of the quality of future SMIL players - they will be much better ! I was actually hesitating whether a public release of HPAS in its current state would be useful, but given that people on this list (some super-power users) have managed to use it, I guess my doubts were unfounded. To get HPAS, goto http://www.research.digital.com/SRC/HPAS/, and click on the applet link under the "Implementations" section. Note that I probably won't have much time to do maintenance on this version. I will fix small bugs, but it's unlikely that any new major features will be implemented. Before you complain, make sure that you have read the "Caveats" section in the user's guide. Currently HPAS implements about half of the features in SMIL. I will put up a page listing all the implemented features.
