[Announcement] W3C MWI DDWG Device Description Technologies Survey

The W3C MWI Device Description Working Group announces a public survey [1].

The DDWG invites providers of device description technologies/solutions to contribute. The purpose of the survey is to enable the Group to describe the current landscape of device description technology.

If your technology/solution provides or enables descriptions of Web-enabled devices, particularly mobile devices, your contribution of information to the survey would be most welcome.

Contributors have the option to make their contributions public at the time of submission. The W3C Note to which this survey is directed will not reveal the source of contributions.

Please note the survey is open until 30 September 2005, but answers sent after 25 August 2005 may not be taken into account for the first draft of the landscape document. Submissions after 25 August may be taken into account in subsequent drafts.

A text version [2] is available for those who cannot access or view the Web form version.

If you have any questions regarding this survey, please direct them to Stephane Boyera [3]

On behalf of W3C MWI DDWG,
Rotan Hanrahan (Chair, DDWG)
