Completely agree. But even if in theory there will be one MathML on parctice we will end up with two languages as soon as MathML in HTML will emerge. Therefore I would prefer not to go in HTML direction at all (those who think that 5 is better then 2 can use XHTML5, that I assume will provide the same functionality as HTML5).
