Thanks for the quick reply Paul. Mathtype is definitely something I'd
heard of and was considering, but I'm trying to get a sense of any
problems that may come up.

Could we then just put the pages on the web directly? Is it as simple
as that?

Or do we need to set them up in a particular way (style sheets???) -
and would they work on any browser, or only some?

And how accessible would they be to people who rely on text readers? 

I'm very much feeling my way here so all explanations very welcome.
