Hope they are useful.

The MathML Specification at several places makes use of the acronyms
"URI" and "URL". The following references for the definition of URI and
URL may be useful:

IETF RFC2396
IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force). RFC 2396: Uniform Resource
Identifiers (URI): Generic Syntax, T. Berners-Lee, R. Fielding, L. Masinter. 1998.

IETF RFC2732
IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force). RFC 2732: Format for Literal IPv6
Addresses in URL's, R. Hinden, B. Carpenter, L. Masinter. 1999.

Note that these are different from the (obsolete) RFCs 1738 and 1808
mentioned in the XML Specification (http://www.w3.org/TR/1998/REC-xml).
