Help on replace gcc

Hi
	I wonder if anyone out there has compiled the libwww using
Sun Workshop.  I am trying to use Sun Workshop to compile libwww,
but I am unable to replace gcc with cc.
	I have tried CC=cc configure but it still use gcc as compiler.
Can anyone help me with this problem.
