using thread

Hi, I'm trying to use threads with libwww. Therefore I stated by 
modifiying showlinks.c under Example directory to run as a thread.
This is the only thread I created. But I got an error message:

	Fatal Error: connect operation failed (No such file or directory)

when HTAlert_setInteractive(YES) is set. Any idea? It will be nice if
anyone could refer me to any simple examples that use threads with libwww?
