I've verified my CLASSPATH per your suggestion, and the server docs say that 2.01b
comes configured with servlets.  In any case, I don't know how to use makefiles, at least not java ones.  Below is what the window that the JigSaw server prints when I try to add a ServletDirectoryFrame in JigAdmin:
