I think it's because the perverted mind of Microsoft Staff : VJ++ 1.1
implements a MS customised version of  JDK 1.0.2   and not JDK 1.1.x
as its version number suggests it. Hence the difficulties you have to
find the different packages.

I only recommand you to go to http://www.javasoft.com and get the
JDK 1.1.5 (I think it's still there although they released JDK 1.2b2 :))
