Not so, XML (and thus) XHTML are case-sensitive -- for instance <b>bold</b> and <B>bold</B> are different -- the second one is not valid XHTML.

HTML is not case sensitive in this way.

So it is perfectly plausible to have two elements only differentiated by case.
