under what rock have you been hiding for the last 10 years or so?

Replace "html" with "SGML" and do a search for "entities" or "parameter
entities", please.

Or if you need a more basic direct pointer, make sure to study this in
full before your next post...

...after that study, you are also supposed to post at least "half a
million" of bug reports and complaints, on the same subject, to your
favorite wowser manufacturer :)
