ascii art in xframes WD

Hello,

a small nit - is it possible to replace the ascii art with an image and 
alt-text?  or to find some way to describe the ascii art?

for example, after point 3 in section 2.9 [1] the ascii art could be 
described as follows:
"a two-column layout where the left column is divided horizontally into 2 
frames of equal size"

or something like that.
