Dear HTML WG,

For reasons of accessibility please not use ascii art to describe layouts.  
If the WG desires ot use ascii art please do this in a way that is  
conforming to Guideline 1 of the Web Accessibility Guidelines 1.0[1] I  
propose that the WG replaces the ascii art with images using proper  
alternative text.
