Dear HTML Working Group,

Please do not use QNames in attribute context, this removes the ability to
simply process XHTML 2 documents as generic XML documents with XSLT, as any
XHTML processor needs to be able to understand the semantics of the role
element to ensure that the QName references are expanded correctly.

Please change the role attribute to not suffer this problem

roleNS and roleLocalName attributes will be an acceptable way to do this

Regards,

Jim Ley
