I JUST NOW started using <xmp>to show html codes</xmp> on my Lynx

Now, it is going to be obsolete, and use <pre> instead?

Sorry, that just doesn't work.  When I use pre, it doesn't show the
code to the reader, it does what you would expect in a normal html 
document.

Maybe I just should look at YOUR source code on your page to see
how you show code as a teacher.
