Please keep an open mind and give them the
benefit of the doubt that as the problem 
space has become and continues to become 
better understood, they might change their
mind.

Conversely, they might come up with something
that hasn't been seen: a compelling rationale
for why TTF/OTF should NOT be a MUST.

The awkward outcome is if they both fail to
change their mind and fail to come up with
a compelling rationale.   Hopefully all parties
agree to try to avoid that awkward outcome.
