keyboard customizations?

Is there a per-user keyboard customization? I know I can edit
/usr/lib/Amaya/config/amaya.keyboard, but that gets overwritten
everytime I install a new version. Can I put some file into ~/.amaya
that is merged with the standard configuration (with my keystrokes
taking precedence, of course :-))?
