cut and past, and file panel problems - more

I wrote previously that -
"With version 9 I have not been able to past any plain text (or any other
object) from ANY other applications into Amaya. (Cut from Amaya to paste in
other KDE applications does work)."

I have found an exception, the Link->'Create of change link' panel does
 accept the paste of URL's copied from Konqueror and some other applications.

So I can past, for example, "http://www.w3.org/Amaya/User/Mailing.html" as a
link but not as a text string in a web page.
