Amaya could work with a software OpenGL implementation (Mesa) or with the 
Opengl canvas (driver). By default you build Amaya with Mesa.
You can experiment on your platform a faster version by configuring with the 
"--with-gl" option.
I suggest you to create a second "object" sub-directory.
